Our Episcopal history with our local Native American tribes is very important. Building present day spiritual friendships and offering shared support is a meaningful part of our ECMN youth ministries. Youth across ECMN come together for two trips each summer to visit nearby Native American reservations.

The Rosebud trip has been bringing together Episcopal youth groups for the past six summers to build relationships and serve with the people of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe living on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Participants work alongside Mother Lauren and the Rosebud Episcopal Mission leading kid’s programs and helping out as needed.

Ma Wa Disi Daa

Grades 9-12

Late July, 2021 | Naytahwaush, MN

Ma Wa Disi Daa means “visit” in Ojibwe. This trip is about visiting and building relationships with our Episcopal family in the White Earth and Cass Lake areas. We eat together, help with needed projects, and share stories. The youth group from St. Mark’s Cathedral invites all ECMN youth to join in.
